The Mt. Washington Impound Lot is maintained by the Mt. Washington Police Department,
therefore, you will need to come to the Mt. Washington Police Department at 180 Landis Lane concerning your impounded vehicle, and then proceed to the lot once verification and payment steps are completed. The impound lot is open Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and closed most Holidays (we ask that you arrive a minimum of 15 min prior to closing for payment and documentation verification to be completed). Please call (502) 538-8143 to inquire about your specific questions concerning the retrieval of your impounded vehicle.
Identifying Your Car:
To determine if your car has been impounded by the Mt Washington Police Department, you will be asked for your:
Make, Model and Color
License Plate Number
Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
Once it is determined where the vehicle is located, you will need to call our impound lot for details on when you can retrieve your car and the cost to get your car out of the impoundment lot. Please note, only the registered owner is allowed to pick up the vehicle unless a signed and notarized Vehicle Release Form by the registered owner is presented at the time of pick up.
